2024/2025 Brazil Corn Estimate Increased 2 mt 129.0 Million Tons

The 2024/2025 Brazil corn estimate was increased this week by 2 million tons to 129 million. The estimate was increased due to record yields reported in the states of Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, Gois, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Rondonhia and Tocantins. The safrinha corn accounted for 1.91 million tons of the increase.

The safrinha production is now estimated at 99.8 million tons and harvest is just beginning for the safrinha corn. Brazil's first corn crop is estimated at 24.7 million tons and is 77.6% harvested.

Brazil's safrinha corn crop now accounts for 78.7% of Brazil's total corn production with the first corn crop accounting for 19.4% and the third corn crop accounting for 1.9%. In their May crop report CONAB increased their 2024/2025 corn estimate by 2.13 million tons to 126.8 million.
